Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the oldest child of four. Audrey Tautou's parents who have a doctor for teeth and a school teacher were supportive and encouraged by her passion for acting and theatre. The initial goal of her of becoming a specialist in monkeys was eclipsed by her wish to learn about drama and theater. There was an immediate rise for her to become a famous young actor. Prior to beginning her acting career, she was a participant in Jeunes Premiers which was a French talent search TV program sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the the title of Best Young Actress for during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou went to church and Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she is now separating herself from the aforementioned societal influences. Her acting and modelling careers are interspersed. She became the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as the Chanel Muse. An avid photographer, she created a show at the Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on fame and celebrity and turns the camera on the media who sat on her shoulders when she exploded to fame in the film Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star and gained international recognition with her first role in Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie was a box-office international success, and received accolades during awards ceremonies across the globe. Amelie is the most successful French-language film in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of films from British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
