Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics coach who became Comaneci's coach later in life, discovered her at age six. The first time she competed was at the national junior championships in which she was 13th place in 1969. In the year 1970, she took home the title. At her first international event in 1972 she came out on top having won three golds. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals in her first international competition for seniors which took place in the year 1975. It was the first time she participated as an older senior. The year was 1976 when she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also became the first woman ever to remove the bars in parallel with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career as an entertainer when she was a teenager. Her first professional gig was figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment shows Ice Capades. The shows featured skaters who were accompanied by theatrical music.
